Every year on the 16th of Octobre the “World Food Day” is celebrated around the world. The aim of this day is to draw attention that over one billion people in the world are suffering from hunger. The beginning of this celebrating day goes back to the year 1945 when the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) was founded to ensure global nutrition.
Every year the “World Food Day” deals with other themes. This year the theme was “Sustainable Food Systems for Food Security and Nutrition” . Most of the themes revolve about agriculture, because it is the agriculture which is the beginning of the nutrition and food security.
